 nascat where is some good places to go boating and hang out on lake norman wife and I plan on taking a trip there this year she has some family that lives on the lake.

HC,
The Sandbar is obviously the main hangout where things get rather crazy. Ramsey Creek is nice quiet calm area to relax as is the area along I-77. There are lots of public ramps as well as eateries. The Rusty Rudder & Midtown Sundries being the 2 most popular. If you want something a little more upscale try North Harbor Club.
Unfortunately I don't really know all the channel markers close to each of the above mentioned spots, I just know how to get there.
