From the Warren County Board of Supervisiors meeting today.

The board passed a resolution supporting a "poker run" boating event on Lake George that was canceled last month after opposition from the Lake George Park Commission led to its state permit being revoked. Organizers said they wanted to try to bring the event back next year, which board members said they would support. Several supervisors were critical of the Park Commission for having the state revoke the permit two weeks before the event, with Horicon Supervisor Ralph Bentley saying the state could solve some of its budget issues by eliminating the Park Commission.

I can't find it on the Post Stars website, but it was in the paper this AM. They ignored his 6 pages that he read. The ONLY member that said a word was James Kneeshaw who claimed the problem was the letter written per DEC regs about the speed limit.

The LGPC marine patrol claimmed to have never spoken to Norm, and claimmed that the "high" speeds were dangerous.

Paper says an unnammed man who was going to make the run asked the LGPC to address Norm's questions, but he was told there were no answers.

Its a pretty long article all about the run written by Dayelin Brown. I don't know why its not on the PS's website.

I don't think the LGPC is handling this with the people and the community of lake george best interests in mind

The LGPC answers to no one. The ignore the fact that LG belongs to NYS, NOT only the people that live on the lake.

you should see what you have to go through to build a dock, or even change the configuration of a current dock.

Matty,
It was disappointing to say the least. They just sat there and looked at me. Since they wouldn't explain their actions, I'll continue to pursue the matter until I get some answers. If they had only had the backbone to explain their actions, I 'd drop the issue. But now, they've simply made the matter worse.
