Connecticut River Sunday Oct 18th. Most boats larger then 25 feet launch in Old Saybrook in the mid-late morning and run up to a beach in Rocky Hill. Money for pizza is to cover costs and to donate to a charity. I paid 20 bucks for 3 slices last year

Dress warm !
Please give kayaks , canoes , fishermen ect. a wide birth .

At the beach ; 100' north (and for the next 200 yards) of the small abandoned sailboat is the best place for larger boats .
High tide is 2:09 pm

A horn will sound when the pizza is delivered .

Have never done this run. If no rain but 40s to 50s are there still quite a few die hards? Would love to make a go of it.

The only way this does not happen is if there is going to be a steady rain. Even if it does rain I bet 1/2 with still show.
Those S&F guys are crazy. I ran with them in 05 during a flood with ice in the parking lot when we launched.
Temps don't matter; let's just hope it does not rain.

Default S/f

it's a great time... have been the last 2 years, last year was cold: drew a good crowd. Year before was awesome!! Rained until we hit the I-84 then the sun was out the whole day... Great time for a great benefit. Hope for a great day.

Well , the forecast is about as bad as it could get , cold , rain , wind . Plus the front coming thru today/tomorrow will put a lot of crap in the river Sat/Sun .

We will see if we can move to Oct 25 .

We will make a decision Fri am , will post by noon .
