Lets put it all out there. There seems to be a misunderstanding about the theft at the Old Boathouse last summer. Unfortunately a GPS was sold to me that week and ended up belonging to another boater. I had no knowledge of the robbery at the time and was completely unaware that the GPS was stolen. The next week when Kevin and I pulled into the Boathouse marina we were told to leave, and still hadn't heard about the robbery. So here we were wondering why we were thrown out of the Boathouse, until the following Monday when one of our friends told us about it. We proceeded to have the kid arrested who sold us the GPS and the stolen GPS was returned to its owner. I don't know who made the ASSUMPTION that we were somehow involved but that seemed to be the rumor. We were later informed that other items from that robbery were found in my shop, however no one else came forward to claim anything and we were completely unaware that we had possesion of any other stolen items, if I had known they would have also been returned to their owners. We have to keep records of everyone we buy from, and I want everyone to know that we do own a swap shop and unfortunately we lose money on things that come in that are stolen. WE have no way of knowing if anyone is selling us a stolen item. I am very sorry that it ever happened and I hope it never happens again. For future reference, our number is available 24/7 if you ever have something stolen, call and ask me. Thanx.... Tiffany
