It's in Port Washington. The owner used to be involved in offshore racing if I am not mistaken.

Haverstraw is great too, just thought I would throw it out there!
Let me know if I can help with anything either way.
Hey Joe I'm always up for an adventure. I have personally never been over there but I know a bunch of guys always ran from LI sound and met us by the Statue of Liberty to hang and they all ate there when they went back. If you know some one who has made the trip or some one has the capability to guide us from Hells Gate to the restaurant then lets try it. PM me if any one knows this area and lets see if we can get it set up.

Thanks Anthony

So we would have to go around lower Manahattan then head up between Manahattan and Brooklyn? How far is that and is there fuel anywhere near La Motta's

Its a easy run to do. Take harlem river to hells gate intersection hang a left under bridge, follow chanel under throgsnect bridge . heading out into sound stay left of light house. manhasset on right side look for boat traffic to spot chanel. La Motta's has 93 oct gas. ps . go into bay till you get to 5 mph zone then look left for chanel that will take you to La Motta's. Its all the way in. You will see a restaurant called Louies head straight for it then follow chanel left to La Maqtta's . Do NOT cut through moored boats to short cut to La Mattas you will get in the mud....ps Louies is the better of the two but you still have to go to la matta's for fuel.

OK,

I guess we should give you all a visual .....

This was by way of heading north on the Hudson River, coming down through the Harlem River then a left onto the East River and out onto the LI Sound to LaMottas. I also have pics from on the way back thanks to 007Joe !!!

That's right Sharkey!! I forgot that was at Lamotta's. I don't think the run from the New York Harbor to Lamotta's is much further then Haverstraw, and whoever has to go north can take the Harlem river back up after wards. How about a head count/vote?
