Default Help a Kansan going to Miami

I am turning 40 in March and as a present to myself I am taking myself and wife to the Miami Boat Show in February.

I want to do it right. I would appreciate suggestions on how to make this a memorable trip.

I am not taking my boat but should have some options for an afternoon ride.

What are the best places to stay?

What are the have to see venues?

Thanks!!

You want to stay in South Beach. You want to stay close to the convention center, and probably close to the beach.
You won't need a car unless you plan on going outside of Miami. Taxis are plentiful and parking a rental car will cost you a damn fortune.

There are some past threads on which are nice hotels.

You're in for some fun! As Brian said, stay in South Beach, most fun spots are within walking distance or a short taxi ride. Be sure to hit the Clevelander and Mango's!
