Default Annapolis Powerboat Show - Where can I dock for the day?

Getting ready to put the Formula to bed for the year but...

The Boat Show is at the City Dock, October 16-19.

I'm coming down from Philadelphia, lodging at the Great Oak Landing Marina in the North East.

For a day trip I want to go to the boat show but don't have a clue on where or how to dock for the day.
I did the trip 10 years ago but memory fails and things probably changed. Can you just throw an anchor
out in the harbor and catch a ride with the water taxi or does that not work?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated here or text or call..

Thanks a bunch

Glenn

They have mooring bouys out in the harbor. Just clip on and can hail a water taxi on the VHF. I'm not sure what day/days you're planning on coming down but I highly recommend Thursday for "industry day" it is dead and you can freely walk around and get on any boat you want. You have to be in the marine industry to get access for 12$ and by the marine industry they want a marine business card which I have collected many over the years if you get my drift. I've been doing this for over 12 years onThursday without incident. You go on Friday or the weekend and it's a total zoo.

I've been "canvas guy, an engine builder, boat detailer, boat transporter, marina manager, Towboat operator, parts manager" all in 12 years. I get around lol.

I 2nd above post. Hook on a mooring buoy and use VHF or just wave down a get a water taxi ride. It lets you off right at the gate.
