Hi John. We've done the Marshall Boat thing for a few years now. Friday night is showtime for the BT boats so there isn't room. We get a slip at Bay Harbor for the boat but Friday night, drive up for the safety meeting. We will be there again this year too.

If you can come up a week early like we do, the Blue Angels are flying over West Bay with an unusual calendar. They normally fly 2 days, Saturday and Sunday. The Blue Angels actually requested if they could fly a 3rd show on Monday July 4th. The bay makes for an exceptional air show. The air box is centered by a Coast Guard Ship and West Bay and Old Mission Peninsula.
You combine that with all the boating experiences you can have and restaurants around Northern Michigan and makes for a memorable vacation for years to come!

I saw your name on the Marshall roster. Looking forward to seeing you in person; it's been more years than I care to think about!

Looks like we'll drive over. I didn't think we'd get a slip but it was worth asking. The street show and boats at the marina are a cool show.

Wish I could get up early. We used to come up and see the Blue Angels and T-birds over the bay when we had a relative there where we could stay. Damn that's a beautiful venue to see the jets. We'd get a spot outside the clear area and sit in the boat. Still get goosebumps thinking of them screaming past the boat right on the deck.

We've been a marshall boat for a number of years and look forward to the event as much as those entered. See everyone Friday at the meeting and we'll be stationed midway, north of Elk Rapids on the first leg.
