Last year was a very informal gathering of people at LOTO for a lunch run. We left Backwater Jacks cove Thursday morning around 10:30 to arrive at Big Dick's Halfway Inn by noon.
We are thinking about Friday, July 2nd for this year so that possibly more people can have the opportunity to come on the run.
We realize the lake traffic will be much greater on Friday, so that is the trade off.
We are going to try for a band and other entertainment/free stuff this year.
It should be a great time, as it was last year!
If you can make it this year, post here so I can get an idea of how many people might be there. I will post another thread for a better head count when it gets closer.
OK, here is the deal so far:
Friday, July 2nd, 2004
Primary meeting location is Backwater Jacks cove.
Departure time will be 11:00 a.m.
Other boats that want to leave earlier or are staying further down the lake can meet at the rendevous point (TBA-perhaps the bridge?).
Recon boats will be at Halfway Inn no later than 11:45. This will allow time to organize docking and maybe a pre-party beverage (passengers only of course)or two.

I will plan on doing the run, but I must make sure the motors are working right first, since that is what kept me from participating each time last year Anyways, as of late, the boat is and, god willing, still will be tip top then, so I'm marking my calander now!!!
