Default Engine removal

I am currently in the process of removing both engines (502's) from a 33 i/o sportfish to refresh them. I was wondering if anyone has an easy way to remove the engines without partially disassembling them. It appears there is a bulkhead located over the engines which prevents them from being lifted straight out. My second question, has anyone modified the engine compartment to make that bulkhead removable or changed the compartment to a different configuration. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Herb

I'll try to take and post pictures tomorrow, the boat is at my mechanic's shop. I was there yesterday and he thought he might be able to get them out if he removed the plenums (sp?) first. The more I think about it, the more I want to redesign the entire engine hatch, mainly for future maintenance.

Thanks JROMY, just sent him a pm. Still working on the picks. We (and I should say, my mechanic) did get the engine out yesterday, but he had to remove the plenums. I still would like to do something with that bulkhead though, it really gets in the way. Still working on the pictures.
