Although I understand the terminology I'm not sure I agree with "Making the numbers work" . There are some great deals on boats without power, some that are noticeably too high and some that are fair. There is currently a 42 fountain PR less power for 99K and quite a few others for 75k and up. Skates 28 skater without power just sold for 50K I believe and it was all white. There is a 30 AMT hull and deck for sale for 65K
I'm not looking to get into a war of words just wanted to make a few points. The boat has 160hrs on it, the GPS and trailer alone are worth close to 10K. the paint that dave hunter did was 35K. The boat has all of the steering, gauges etcc and will include a brand new interior, you can buy it for less if you want to do your own upholstery..There are some great deals out there on motors and drives and in the end you'll have one of the finest boats built...

I would say that you would have to be able to be all in @ $80k with 525's and xr's. If you went non merc power you would have to be into the boat for less for it to make sense.

Given this perspective, you're looking at $49k for the boat/trailer/gps + $32k for the best deal I've seen on a pair of EFI 525's (I assume that's what you're referring to.) That puts someone at $81k before drives, tabs, rigging, and other details that inevitably rear their ugly little heads. For someone that would need to have that work done, I gotta think you're easily over $100k. The boat is gorgeous, but I think it's hard to justify that kind of coin for it.
But for that person that may have the power/drives/tabs sitting around looking for a great hull to put them into and can do the work themselves, it could work. Like I said before, it will take a special buyer and I hope you find them. The boat deserves a good home.
Not looking for an argument, just trying to give perspective. IMO, market determines value and it is what it is.
