Hey John, I'm a friend of Brian's and I think I met you at his house last summer. Kind of funny how all the PP's found their way home.

Yeah, I was in need of a water pump impeller and Brian thought he had one. I have the PP in storage for the moment as I finish up the transom assembly replacement on my Formula and then hopefully sell it. Once I get it home I'll get some good pics and post them.

That explains it. Standard set-up would be below the rubrail on a '97.

Will this have a higher X by default since they are 4's and not Bravos?

I have no idea how 4's are mounted so I can't answer this, however X being the crankshaft horizontal centerline to the bottom of the hull wouldn't the X be the same as a Bravo?

I do know for a fact that the X was raised in '97 to 18 1/2" from 17 1/4" for Bravos. But having no experience with 4's I can't say anything definitively about the X if it was made originally for those type of drives.

This is the only pic I have relative to prop shaft location. This is with 2" spacers. I don't think the standard Bravo setup had any bearing on how this boat was rigged. It's my understanding that the B class staggered race boat was the point of reference.
