what pitch are you running and what speed does it start to get scary? Speedo?

Hydromotive 22pitch Prop. I still need a GPS to see what im running at. A Supercharged Seadoo, which runs about 70mph GPS, on plan was not able to keep up with me for long. I was able to pull away from him a decent amount. The guy tried 3 more times, different days. I also raced a Bored out single 454 25foot Baja, Guys, It wasn't even fair. I got on plan pretty quick and noticed I was pulling pretty good. Backed off the throttle to about 4500RPM and i was still pulling. The guys response was, "I've got nothing".he-he.

My way back to the marina I raced a twin engine Fountain that came from no where. Got side by side with him for awhile and then he started walking me slowly. I was shocked I stayed with him for awhile till he started gaining WOW! Wish I had video camera.

Both Power Quest, engine builders and engine installer explained the boat has chine walk and at max of the hull. Trim tab indicators were installed. With the tabs level with the hull, the boat is stable, smooth and safe. Also installed Hydraulic steering. The next step this winter is to prepare to swap out the lower half of the out drive and replace with a shorter lower drive which will get the boat stable and 6-7mph top end speed.

Can't wait for the video.

I took off my Revolution 4blade 21p off and put the original Mirage Plus 21p 3blade on for the first time. What a difference. Much slower out of the hole and midrange was also slower. Top end was the same. I had a full tank( I usually don't), so I'll see if improves by the time I'm on empty.

Are you sure your prop is a Mirage "PLUS" 21p and not just a standard Mirage as used on earlier models. My 270 Laser is a 95 and came with a "Mirage 21p" not a plus. Keep us posted on your numbers with less fuel. Thanks for your input.

I am trying to track down a good deal on a Revolution 4 21p.

It's a Mirage Plus 21p. My Laser is a 1999. I'll keep you posted. I have no trouble burning fuel.

I can run 60-62mph GPS with the four blade. I ran a little over 58mph GPS using the 3 blade with a little under a full tank.

I ran the boat empty. Not much improvement with the three blade. I definatly like the four blade better. It's better out of the hole, better in the midrange and the top end is the same or even better.

I'm assuming your running A 22 Bravo 1??How's the ride quality and handling ?? Was there a change that you could tell??

Thanks for the feedback and taking the time to experiment with your props. I purchased a Revolution 4 blade 21p off of ebay yesterday and should have it on Friday. I hope to on the water Saturday and Sunday see similar performance gains as you have found. I let you know how it works out.

Previous post stated 270 Laser was using a Rev 4 21p. I hope to attend the Rally and meet you later this summer.

I just purchases a 1999 270 Laser, which we love!!!!. I am waiting on my GPS, but the speedo is showing 66 mph on a flat sea with 1/2 tank and three people. I am interested to see what GPS says. The boat runs a Volvo system, 454 MAG with a Dual prop set-up. A lot of people don't want this set up, but I love it. I get a great hole shot, and decent top top end, with great control around the docks.

I can't wait for the rally, this is our first performance boat and we are excited to meet other powerquest faithfull!!!!.

Hot-Hot-Hot, Did you by chance buy the Laser in Grand Haven?? I was on my way to pick up my 26 when I notice a small dealer had one with the volovo setup. I did stop and look and it was a beautiful boat!
