Re: Ran the 290 yesterday...
About $400, I believe. I'd like to re-do the dash on my boat in the winter and want to put a GPS speedo in, but that's a lot of cabbage. Check Trick Marine www.trickmarine.net, I think Fred sells them.

I'd have a hard time dropping that kind of jack, when I can pick up a handheld for $100. Sure it's not so pretty to look at but what the hey it's only good a couple time for clocking true top end. After that unless your making mods I can pretty much dial it in based on the tach.

I haven't done any real measuring at this point. Just kind of kicking around some ideas - I'm not real happy with the way the dash is laid out, and since it is pretty worn I may just redo the whole thing...

Re: Ran the 290 yesterday...
Anyone run faster than 70mph. I have a 1999 enticer 29 people tell me that this boat does not like speeds over 70 mph it is hard to control. I want to super charge mine (7.4 mpi 310 twins bravo 1's with 25 pitch props). Any one have this problem with higher speeds? Thanks Paxtonsc

Re: Ran the 290 yesterday...
I just sold a 2000 29 with 7.4 B-1 23 pitch. Best I ever ran was 66.7 and mine was a bit faster than my firends. 70 would be hard to get with that combo......
