Default 29 Enticer Owners

Well I've got maybe two years left on our 26 before we'll have out grown it. I tend to lean more towards the 29 Enticer than the 28 due to cockpit size. Just wondering how well you guys like your 29 and power options that would be recomended?
That of course pending PQ is still around when we make the move?

My last PQ was a 29 and I loved it. 7.4 MPIs are pretty much the only power you will find unless your going older, like 95 or older then there are some 502s around. Make sure to get the weekend package (shore pwr, pump out head, ext...) I would also try and get one on a triple not a double trailer, I see a few around on doublr axel trailers, but there much heavier than PQ says. You will not be unhappy in a 29. Hope this helps, good luck

I really love mine and I think its a great boat for the market price. That said, I have never been in a 28 but suspect it is a more efficient package. Ofcourse, its really nice to have twins if you can affort to feed them.

The cabin is exceptionally large for a 29 boat, we overnight about 10 nights a year and that pays dividends. The 29 is not a pure performance boat by today's definition......but that is actually why it appeals to me (room and creature comforts).

Also, I agree with 380 on the weekend package, pump out, and tri-axle. I have all 3

K planes would be nice as well as external steering. And I would like to find another 1.5 mph so I can see 70 gps Good luck finding that on a stock enticer...

I have a clean 97 and it still shows well against the latest and greatest with its classic lines.

I looked around and was looking at a 280 for a long time but they were going for a much higher price since gas was north of 3 bucks and a single is a lot less to feed. I found a 290 that had 502 mags, external steering, kplanes, weekender, triple axle steel trailer, and had just had several of the cockpit pieces recovered, and it saved me a ton of cash over a 280. Now I just get to spend the savings on fuel. I have yet to do anything but look at it, but come spring I should be able to give you a much more in depth review.

From the limited time I have with it, I can only say that it is exceeding my expectations, only complaint is engne access is a little, ummmm, tight

Had a 28 and now own a 29. The Enticer is definatley a nicer riding boat. Both have large cockpit space. Didn't seem like I spent more money this past summer fueling the Enticer then previous summers with the Silencer. My Silencer had a windscreen, I prefered a windshield on the 29 so I could have the Bimini top. Both boats were very low matinence to run (454's). It really sucked when it came time to change the impellor's in the 29. Had to just about stand on my head for a few hours to change one (very tight). Other then that the Enticer is a great reliable boat. Dockrocker also had a 28 and a 29, maybe he could chim in with his thoughts.

Maybe only 10 over nights - but more like 1500 hours sitting in the boat or on the dock!

I'm assuming your all seeing that mid to upper 60's range with twin 7.4 EFI? By the way are they mags?

Wally is just shy of 70. 7.4s are 310 horse...that is what he has. My guess with 454 mags you would see closer to 74 to 75.

'97 carb motors are 300 HP. With the double-pump Holley's on Wally's motors, they are probably a massive 303 HP!

By the way, I hear the 29 can really haul the beads...

In all seriousness, I believe the Enticer is a great family-friendly offshore boat.
