the one at suncoast was a decent looking boat -- some dock rash and light scratches. rest of the boat is pretty clean. looked like the skeg was bent(slightly) motor was clean.
i'm considering it

good deal.
have you had experience with the 28 powerquest?
I am thinking of selling my wakeboard boat and getting a single engine performance boat. Looking for a good ride in chop and around 28' range. Boats i am looking at are
powerquest, checkmate, nordic, donzi.
I have not ridden in any of them.
I am looking for a good ride and about 70mph and a good quality built boat.

so far i'm really enjoying it -- the first thing i did was put the relay on for the hatch lift -- made a BIG difference in speed.. the stock one is so slowwwwwww..
as for boat performance --
i've had it up to about 68 on the speedo -- i'm already thinking about modifications to get me in the mid 70's -- then i'd be back where my pantera was.
I will say its a NOTICABLE difference in gas mileage -- i don't know what my 600hp 502 was getting -- but this 502mag seems a lot better (of course its stock) -- so i might should just leave it alone! hehehe

I had a 24. Its a big difference in ride -- keep in mind i've never had a stepped hull before -- so i'm sure that is part of it.
I will say the PQ seems "loose" compared to the pantera in the turns. I could go into a pretty sharp turn and feel rock solid -- in the PQ it just doesn't feel as sticky -- i know i'm not using the best terms -- but its all i can think of! hehehe
other than the turns --- the ride is great -- the extra 4 feet and width really smooth out the waves. Waves that would normally have my pantera out of the water -- are just bumps to the PQ.
I chose the PQ because of its quality and amenities -- it really serves my purpose right now.
until i can get my 38 top gun!!! lol
