I have a trip eagle for my enticer. The thing I noticed about the difference when you add the third axle is sway. I am a believer that the additional contact reduces sway, the thing tracks arrow straight regardless of wind or speed and even helps the truck track straight.

That said, I have never towed my boat with a tandem, just comparing to other smaller tandems I have towed.

I am thinking about getting a different trailer for my 290. I have a tri-axel now. Would you guys go with it again or switch to a tandem? Does any one have any other opinions about making the change? I have read all the threads in the trailer sections about each one's pros and cons and would like more input. I am looking at Heritage trailers, that are built close to home.
