i have a friend that has a 380 that he would like to off. He is not very aggressive so i thought i would give him a little push. It is a freshwater 1995 380 Avenger with rebuilt 502's (very low hours, maybe 50) and trailer. I think it is currentyl listed for low 60's, but i have a feeling he would come down considerably this time of year. currently stored at Sassy's in their heated storage on the north channel of lake st. clair. If anyone is interested i could put in contact with him.

WOW, That seems cheap, It sounds like I'm going to the grave in my 380. Good luck with the sale it shouldn't last to long at that price.

Shouldn't last long but 2 things to consider. If you need a loan to buy the boat good luck getting one. If you have the cash to buy the boat, odds are you are unwilling to part with $50K at this point in time. You see a lot of good deals like this just sitting.

Yep, credit is tight and the lenders are really shying away from loans on toys. I have the feeling in the next few months you'll see even better deals out there as the amount of repo'd boats increase. That maybe ones best chance to obtain financing on a deal. If the banks holding the asset chances are they maybe willing to hold the debt again to recoup.

I agree, folks will let their toys go into collection way before the house and cars. Saw an 06 32 Sunny with 496s repoed this week for 70K. I also think folks with cash on hand are holding on to it right now to see what happens with the economy.

I just bought a 2005 37 A/T and had some issues with the big name boat banks due to it being an offshore boat, best bet is to use your local bank. I ended up useing my long time Credit union and had it locked up in under an hour, do your homework and it is not that hard. Dont let the big banks screw you around, the smaller local ones are looking for good loans.
