Default 2000 Silencer 280 weight

The PQ website lists a 2000 silencer 280 as weighing 7500 lbs. That can't be right. I'm looking at hoists and need to know the correct dry weight. Does anyone know for sure, or is there a number I can contact someone from PQ .I know they're out of business ----- just not sure if someone from the factory is still around. Thanks

I've got a brochure at home so I'll double check but I'm going to guess around 5200lbs??

I've got my 280 sitting on a 6200 lb hydrohoist lift -- lifts with no problems.

Sorry my 97 Brochure doesn't have the 28. The 27 shows 4800 and the 29 with twins is 6500.

Thanks. I'm going with a 8000 lb hoist, so it sounds like I should be fine.

My 2001 28' Silencer on a steel trailer is 7240 pounds, with 100 gallons of fuel. You should be OK with the 8K lift.
