2002 38 Powerquest w/500's
A/c Unit For 38 Pq

Can anyone tell me the size of the A/C units (BTU's) that are in the 38 PQ's?

Also where are they located, are they under the V berth?

Thanks

I have a 2000, and it's underneath the hanging locker on the left, there is a screen right below the locker and behind it is the A/C unit.
Maybe the 01's are different. I hope you don't have to remove it , it's a pain in the a@s. I had to cut fiberglass to get it out last year, and then found out I could have just replaced the controller!!!!! Oh, it's a 7,000 BTU Marine Air

For those you have installed in the v-berth (or other areas) can you post advice/description on how to run wirining, drain, seawater pump and vents?

Pm,
My Thru Hull Is Just In Front Of The Port Engine, And Pump Is Directly Forward Of Engine Compartment, So I Have To Open The Hatch To Open The Seacock.

boathead,

So does your through hull also feed your pump out head?

I was wondering if I could pick up at the head for the AC instead of running another through hull?

My ac and head draw through the same inlet through the bottom of the hull. It works fine.
