Powerquest made at least 2 that I know of and maybe a 3rd one. There was 1 available here in West Michigan about 10 years ago with a built 502 and another at the Ozarks with 454 mag and a procharger. I looked at that one, but was leary of the history and said performance - no test ride and the broker didn't know a thing.

The 290 was originally designed to be equipped with twin small blocks but the boat ended up being built primarily with twin 7.4's. Not sure how well the boat would carry the bow with a single. Remember the 70 for 70 campaign?

i bet it would take all of 800hp to run 80mph. the hull isnt very fast to begin with and im sure it would have alot of hull in the water and not carry the bow very well

mariah built a 30 footer with a single engine,but i have yet to see a test drive of it...and at the other end of the spectrum,i just found out PQ built 27 lazers with twin small blocks.
