Default Hey Scott how is your head....

.....mounted down? I know you said that you changed to the electric type, I bought one and am wondering how you mounted it. Is the tank below? can I drill into floor to run wires? What about using toggle bolts to secure it down. Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

I have the Gaffrig Outlaws mounted, I need to run the hose and mount the pump still. I am trying to get all the work done this weekend so I can be in the water next week.

How is your setup running? did you run the 32's yet?

Happy 4th!

Scott, I got the electric conversion kit from Jabsco, It fills the bowl with water and will flush down OK The problem is the bowl is very full when done. If I run the boat it sloshes all over, I have to kink the incoming water hose and run the pump to get it to empty. I am thinking of installing a t Valve inline, but if something is wrong with the bowl or something I will look into fixing it right.

Is this how yours works too?

Ray,
Sorry got real busy with work so I never got back to you about getting together on the water. We will have to catch up sometime before the season ends.

The problem you have is the exact situation we have I also find that the tank fills up real fast because of the water. Most heads have a dry switch and I don't understand why mine doesn't. My plan also includes putting a valve into the supply line. I wanted to take this one step further and find a 12vdc on/off valve so I can mount a switch next to the flush switch. Any of your catalogs show one? Got to keep this high tech

I was thinking the same thing with the electric solenoid valve, None of the "Marine" suppliers/manufacturers carry one that I have seen. There are some in the plumbing sector if you want a 10lb one.

I will be looking for a sprinkler valve today. Most run off 24VAC but from my security experience most 24vac solenoids will run fine off 12 Vdc current. It came to me in my "sleep" last night. I am not sure what the mimum pressure is needed to work properly though and it would have to mount between the bowl and the pump on the base. I will let you know what I find.

I did take a trip up to Port Sanilac last weekend, about 65 MIles each way. Did it in one day. It was fun. I even used my bimini top on the way back. I am feeling a little more secure in my trips now. I was plotting out Put in Bay it is about 90 Miles each way. It should be a fine trip. When I get definate plans I will let you know.

Have fun

Thanks,

Is it heavy? Then it is expensive!..... I figured it was $$$ after looking at it. The plastic sprinkler ones are cheap but I dont know how fast they would turn on with that low of a pressure.....Still Looking
