Don't know the history on it, but it was a trade in at a local shop here in town. They were originally asking 70-75k for it and have come down. We kicked around the idea, but it is all, original and quite frankly we don't know of anyone around here who works on hp volvos. It isn't in bad shape, but like I said , it is original paint, interior, etc. I'm also not sure that it comes with a trailer.

I like it. Seems like an efficient setup.
But the rareity of the power/drive Combo is driving the price down.
The engines are 502's so cant be much different.

Plus its next to never that anyone complained about a volvo drivetrain in a runabout or cruiser.

I see that there efi's too. Thought for sure the were carbed but I read on a old post here that the 500's are a multiport efi. Which I like, don't car for carbs anymore.

The only thing that bothers me is that the Volvo setup is like my TRS drives, great until they break. I already experienced a burnt tranny, I'd hate to experience some foul up on those. Maybe there is someone around the Great Lakes that is familiar with them.

Thanks for the responses. Been kicking around the idea of a avenger, 38DX, sonic 358, or even a 43 BT.

Is there anything you see that is wrong or any major scratches. It def isn't flashy on the outside. I good boat name down the hull would dress it up.

That's a nice, well equipped boat for the money. I certainly wouldn't shy away from it because of the Volvo Propulsion systems...in fact, I personally find that an asset as opposed to a detriment.

Here in SE Florida I have had drive specialist tell me that the Volvo Stern drives are the most durable production pieces ever built....very well designed with superior parts and metallurgy.

I agree with sprink, the volvos are a rock solid drive and shift smoother most times than the merc units.
The dual props are awesome for docking and cruise efficiency.

From what I've read seems that service/parts support is the major concern for Volvos. Not too many go-fast boats used them but my buddy's cruiser was trouble free with Volvos.
Interesting 380...75 mph and a genset!

Do some dpx research on here. Supposedly the lowers aren't completely infallible behind the 500 and 600s and parts could be an issue. Probably still better than a bravo though!
