2012(?) 38 up for auction, apparently by some outfit called repocast (www.repocast.com) according to the CL ad. Looks like no power or drives. I could not find the boat on the auction site.

15k but there's no way they will let it go for that. I bet they want 50k. Needs power, transom assemblies, drives, steering, keep planes, indicators, controls and trailer....there's 40k.

And then you've got a 8+ year old hull / deck, built by persons unknown at a company that is no longer in business, with no idea what work went into it, whether corners were cut as they were going under, etc etc. Then finished by "someone", apparently, as I thought the 38s that were left when PQ went down were separate hulls and decks. You'd have to really like to roll the dice with one of these...

Agree, I was guessing all of 60k to rig it proper, it would be cool to have, if the price is right...

IF well built, it could be a good fit for someone - my question is does anyone know anything about the person that put it together?

My guess is they want 40+ for it.

It think the engine hatch and cockpit color scheme is cheap looking along with the back seat, no headrests.....no side pocket storage just covered up with upholstery.
Missing foot bars, compass, throttles, bolster reinforcing bars that attach to rear of seat and gun wales, and no quality gauges that should be in a 2012.......just saying.
Too bad the transom is already cut for Bravo's.

It does look like it was a hurry up and make it look complete to sell

Exactly, I know my boat is not new but I would be somewhat ambarrased to roll around in that.....(let the flaming begin).
What's with the back seat, very amateur.

My opinion on the boat is it would need if not a complete, at least a partial redo.
Good engine packages are 40k plus another 20 for drives, there's 60k....
