And that diagram was setup up for a negative trigger...just to make it safer...if you dont want to do too much re-wiring at the switch and keep it a positive trigger...just swap the Pos at terminal 86 to Neg at the relay

I have a 90 290 entice and just spent hours reworking the gauges and the switch panel. I ran new power and ground up to the helm from batt negative and battery switch under rear seat. I did not see a bus bar for negative or positive in there behind the guages or switches.
