Exclamation I'm not an X-PQ Owner yet!!

BillR: No I have not sold the PQ, The Fountain was a spur of the moment decision. I have not taken delivery on the new boat It will be a couple of weeks yet. (waiting on a trailer) After I get it I will make the decision of selling the PQ. One or the other will eventually have to be sold. The Fountain so far looks like a bargain and an oppertunity to get into a larger boat for much less $$$. My initial intention was to re-rig it and sell it but after seeing it that will be real hard. I figure I will make the decision to sell in the early spring.

Here are some links to picts for everyone:

I am thinking the new HP525's for the Fountain, But yikes that is times 3. I have two IMCO SC's and will get another one for the 47.

P.S. I am getting a custom paint job on the 47 most likely by: http://www.mitchertcustompainting.com

P.S.S. 96Vyper wern't you looking for a larger boat????

Ray, You can't go wrong with MitcherT, He's painted a couple of my boats and did an outstanding job from design to completion plus he's a great guy and his prices are very reasonable.

Ray,

Why yes I was looking for a Larger Boat. I docked next to a guy two years ago with a 47 (kept at Mac Ray's) in Port Huron. Very nice...and fast. He did not have stock motors. Considering a 47 would require a couple things:

New Truck (Expedition would be hurting)

Summer storage....I don't think Sassy will rack store 47' Don't know if they have a well for that lenght either, but then I would want to keep it out of the water when not in use...Extra cost for lift and finding a new marina.

Oh and I want standing room in the cabin (for me), so that might deter the decision. I will check with the wife though. When you bring it up to your shop, we can come and take a look!!!

When are you planning on selling your current business and starting something in marine??? Especially after all the experience you gained with the PQ!! Now you'll a Fountain project to add to the resume.

Can't wait to see the boat in person. Wife and I are heading out this weekend to take a closer look at some other boats.

96vyper,

I am getting the trailer with a goose neck hitch (5th wheel type) So make sure you get a pick up! Dually perferably. (you will need it to trailer you 40SS if you get that too LOL )

Sassy's is a problem but they can sit it on blocks for you I'm Sure. Head space? Who goes in the cabin anyhow? Especially someone your height!! LOL

I'l let you know when it is here, You can then take a look at it. I have been trying for two years to figure out how I could split off my business into the wholesale marine business. At least that way I couold write off some of the expences.

Have fun this weekend!

I am leaning toward the new HP525EFI's I wont need them for a few months so I can shop a little. The KE675's are impressive but I think resale will be better with the merc's. Plus I'm sure whipple and others will come out with modsin the future. I think the boat should do low to mid 80's with the merc's too. I do plan on having IMCO Extreme SC's on the back too.

No Whipples...
Merc 525's, I saw two dyno sheets, and they have more to offer than you read.
Best of luck......

Well This HRPA boy is still VERY happy with his boat, which is now JUST one year old. Hard to believe I've had it a year now.
