Woogie: my friend that is a sweet ride you should always keep that one, and if you sell it sell it back to PQ it would look cool in the lobby or a show room

You are right on the springs. As I understand it the Carb HP 500's had the problem not the EFI's. Had my springs done last winter at 270 hrs, well actually I had the motors totally refreshed. They were running fine but I was concerned about the spring issue and as long as the motors were out I had them redone. Good thing too as some of the valves were about ready to break as they had cracks around the perimeter. Otherwise everything looked fine. None of my springs were broken but they were getting weak.
Based on all I have read on these motors I would recommend changing the springs at 250 to 300 hours.
Only have 70 hrs on the refreshed motors, she runs fine but I would like to get into a 38. Just to get the room and a little better ride in the rough water.
What king of speed/ride do you get with your 38 ??

When are all of you PQ owners going to talk the factory into building you a 42?
performancemary, you may as well add 8 feet instead of 4

Mary
Mine runs 74.9 GPS so far but I'm working on it.
As far as the ride WOW we love it. We have a young daughter that is 20 months now, and last summer while down on vacation in the LOTO we would run the main channel at 50 to 60 and she would lay down and fall asleep in the back seat. When we were down in our 29 in May and June she just cried unless we were at idle speed. We bought the 38 in July and went on vacation that same week. It was the best think that we did, and I have no regrets. The only other toy that I looked at was a 38 Cig. that aint to shabby either.
I have to agree with Mental a 42 would be nice, a 42 with staggered power, otherwise one day I will have to move to a different brand Mandi are you listening?

Never thought I'd see that. You bleed PQ.
But then again maybe we will get you to go to the other side of Michigan for a boat

I've been told extension boxes or ITS also makes that hull perform quite a bit better.
Rich, do you have extension boxes on yours? I'm thinking of putting ITS on my new one, even if I don't know how it will perform. It just looks good with staggered. And sportmasters looks good too.

I do have boxes 12" ones it fills up under the swim platform, and makes it look even cooler while on the trailer. I would post a picture but I dont have one sorry.
John are your drives going to be sitting that close together? I love the way that 39 Cig looks.
