Re: info on an old profile race boat
there was a red 31 around a few years back it may even be the boat you are talking about. It had a P# and 3 man bolsters but I have no idea what happened to it. That was the only one I ever knew of

Re: info on an old profile race boat
Yo're probably talking about the Plumb Crazy. It's mine, but it's just a stripped hull now. I think the original owners name was Jim Baluch and he was from Pittsburg. It may not the boat that you were thinking about, but it's the only Profile Race boat I've ever seen...

Re: info on an old profile race boat
Yeah, that's me. I listed it on ebay a little while back and had it on the OSO swap section, but the ad got yanked for some unexplained reason. It was during the time that there were A LOT of posts about Profile. I bought it from (what I think was) the second owner, also in Pittsburg.

Its not really what you were initially asking about. But there is a profile that is currently racing.

There was a 31FT Profile (B-12 "Rip and Tear") that raced with US Offshore in the early nineties.

Yes, this boat ran from 1991 until it was destroyed in the Point Pleasant race, 1993, 1994 or 1995, I can not remember the year. I do remember the day, we were racing 'A' class at the time, and I can recall seeing debris from the boat floating, as well as seeing the trailer leave the pits on the way home, empty. See 2 pics I found, both from 1991 or 1992.
