Props for 30 Spectre

30 Spectre w/ 500 HP's turning 5250 w/ 1.36 and 32 bravo ones at 106.5 GPS.... (one is dinged up a little )

Five blades? Six blades?

I have heard of guys running 34's w/ 5/8" cut off the diffuser with my setup and 2" shorties....

i could handle a little more stern lift, but don't want it too loose...

Re: Props for 30 Spectre

Typically we see great results with the Hydro P5's. You will get on plane much better with these than the Bravo I props. These are the same props that we worked for Zipp Express. They had a great amount of success with the P5's. The 6B props will provide the ultimate in acceleration and would work well on a boat with excessively high drive heights and have been know to curb blade failures due to high drive heights. Keeping in mind that every time you add a blade you increase stern lift.....making the boat a little looser!

Hello Sean,

We have been doing Bravo 1's for years with Jay's boats. Yes we cut the diffusers off almost all the Bravo 1's. There are certain set ups that work the best. Rotation is critical. Give Spectre or us a call and we will help you out.

I think the p5x's would work great on your set up.

Re: Props for 30 Spectre

The P5X's would be an excellent choice as well. They would tend to settle the stern so the boat doesn't feel as loose. They would also get the boat on plane very easily, you wouldn't have to struggle like you would with Bravo 1's. We have several sizes of the P5x's as test props.
A major advantage with the p5X compared with some other 5 blade props is that they run very well right out of the box.
