B Blades 32 labbed pitch results!!

Weather was hot so I ran my previous best propellar for a real comparison. With the 30 labbed merc the boat turned 6200 RPM for 113 on the GPS. With the 32 Bblades 6000 RPM and 116 on GPS. I have turned the 30 6400 RPM in cooler weather for 115 on GPS, which was my previous best top end. I imagine in 50 - 60 degree temps the 32 may have 118!! The acceleration is better with the 30, but that is expected compared to a taller pitch.

Sounds like the taller pitch was the ticket! Good job.

Thanks Julie!

The P5X's I tried all worked very well, but were off a bit on top MPH. The boat is a 23' cat and MPH is what I am after. We are really lucky here on OSO to have some great prop vendors that actually get involved and post!! Keep up the good work!

Re: B Blades 32 labbed pitch results!!

Artic/Smitty, I have a pair of Bravo One 4-bladed 32" props on my boat that you are welcome to try up at Hardy Dam on Hot Boat weekend if you like. They are labbed with no variation in pitch in either direction. I know you have a single engine boat so, what ever prop you need you are welcome to try.

Kama,i will definately be there for that! My boat went from handling decent to terrible from a 30 pitch labbed to 32 pitch non-labbed,I would really like to see how a 32 labbed works before spending any more money. Maybe all us mi guys meeting up there can bring all our different props for all of us to try,i have a 28 pitch bravo tuned to a 27 pitch that worked great when i had the blown 502 in my boat 3 years ago,Smitty

Smitty,

I have a 28 P5X that I suspect will work great on my friends 26 AO cat. He has a 32 labbed bravo that he may want to sell if the 28 works for him. He will be at Hardy for hot boat weekend as well trying props. Is your GR a 1.5 or 1.36?
