I bought me a 1994 F336 sr-1, with twin 525sc i would like to buy new prop's but i hesitating between the bravo1 are mirage plus, i currently run the 25 mirage not the plus! those are the stock prop's from the factory, what would be the best prop?
please advice
gear ratio 1.36 25 mirage don't know the speed yet but the last owner told me that he could run about 82 on the gps.

I run labbed 23" Mirages (not plus) on my 95 336 with 1.36 and hp500's. best I've seen is 74 on GPS with half tank and a lot of gear. I can get 71 or so any day.

Julie,
Do you have any experience with testing props for this boat? Just wondering what 4 blade would be best. I've read here that some have had good luck with both Q-IV's and another with Bravo 1's, and they are generally described as being very different props (stern lifting vs. bow lifting).

Jullie,
Thanks for the info, but i thought that the bravo 1 is made for stepped Hull and the would give to much drag on a deep V is this true?
Thanks Sake

Round ear blade designs work better on non-stepped hulls.
Semi-cleaver or cleavers work well on stepped hulls.
I will tell you that many boats can run either, but it really depends on the attitude YOU want out of the boat. Formulas typically perfrom well in Hydro QIV and P5 propellers, the cleaver designs. This is not to that the boat will not runwell with the Bravo I propellers. It is just that the Formulas appreciate the stern lift, carry the weight better. Sometimes reducing the drag and increasing speeds. However this will also make the boat a little lighter or looser in the back. So it then becomes quite important to ask yourself what is it that you like or want out of your boat.

`Julie,
Thanks for the reply, the most important thing is cruise speed i like to go on plane with less m's, my wife is very afraid for high speed, so if she runs 80 mph ore 75 with very good cruise that would be the #1 choice
Julie do you have some option's?
Thanks Sake

Like offthefront stated,
The Q4 does induce stern lift which will drop the bow and decrease mid range speed.
We still like to put Mirage plus props on these hulls, or a more rounded 4blade like the Bravo 1 or X series Hydro's.

I think you would be a great candidate for our dial in program. I have a wall of Bravo I props that you can test with. Feel free to cal and speak with any of us about our prop testing / dial in program.
