Default Prop advice for 25 Fountain Center Console

Looking for prop options for a Fountain 25 center console with a 250 EFI. The boat currently runs max 52 mph at 5800rpm with a 14 x19 4 Blade Mercury Offshore. I know there are a lot of newer props out there and would like suggestions of what I should be using for best performance.

A Mirage Plus will work. Also a Revolution 4 will be a great choice. You can raise the engine much higher with the Rev 4 over the Offshore. We have a full line of Rev 4's to test with if you are interested in trying one. You may be able to go to a 21 pitch and pick up mid and top end performance.

BBlades - thanks for your thoughts on this. The boat is in storage for another month or so so I will need to wait to get a prop from you to try.

Is there that much difference between the Merc Offshore 14x19 versus the Merc Rev4 21p to justify going up 2 pitch sizes? Will the rpm's stay the same or will it drop?

There are large differences between the two propellers. You are at the top of the rpm range for the engines so we may have options with the higher pitch to give you better cruise speeds and top end. Are the engines mounted on a bracket? If so, how much set back? What bolts holes are you mounted in?

Found out from Fountain that they are using the Mercury 4 blade 19p Revolution 4 on this boat. This seems to be a good starting point as the blades on the Rev4 are longer than the offshore prop.

BBladesprops - The motor is not on a bracket and I am not sure in what holes that Fountain mounts the motor.

When you are ready to test the Revolution 4 propellers, we would be happy to help. Just let us know.
