5 blade center hub ?
Are the center hubs suppose to slip out or are they pressed in? Mine have 4 fiber strips that center the hub. There was a vibration at idle speed. I pulled the props and one side had only 3 strips the other had 4.?? Thanks

They do slip in and out. The problem is since each part is cast they will vary a little from part to part. Sometimes the hub will be so loose it just falls out. Sometimes you have to hit it to get it in. Sometimes if you change hubs from prop to prop you get the right fit.
You will want to have all 4 strips on the hub, it will prevent vibration. These strips are available from Mercury/ Quicksilver in packs of 4.

You can run these hubs without the strips and not create problems. I don't recommend it, but it can be done. We keep the strips in stock should you need any.
It was a nightmare trying to find a way to adhere the strips to the hub. No porosity in either substance to absorb glue. Tried every glue known to man and finally settled on a two sided 3M tape in 2002.
