Cleaver To Lightning
Brett Is Working On A Project For Me Converting A Monster 18 Inch 3 Blade Cleaver Into A Bowlifting BI-CH For My Single Engine Application. It Will Look Something Like A Lightning . Who Thinks It Will Work. If Anyone Can Do It Bblades Can. Time Will Tell. Who Knows Speedmasters And What Do You Think ? I Will Post Results When Finished .

Re: Cleaver To Lightning
I have an old heavy cigarette 38 flat deck with Arneson drives on it. I run Hoss props reworked by Bret and Bob, they lift the bow so much better than cleavers it is not comparable. As added benefit they are around 5 - 7 mph faster than the cleavers.
Thanks BBlades for the recent quick turn-around on my prop.

Re: Cleaver To Lightning
Keep us posted, I am interested in what happens. I have found that just going from 17 diam to 16.5 made a very noticeable improvement in bow lift. Slippage increased some but the control and handling is much better. Chris

Re: Cleaver To Lightning
My 4 Blade Started At 17 Then Cut Down To 16.5 With Negative Results Then Back To Mercury Again To Try More Mods, Cut Down More To 16 With Some Tip Work And Still No Good Resluts. So After Being Charged Twice Still With Negative Results I Was Done With Mercury. Not Knowing Brett Was Gone My Fault!!! Got The 3 Blade Back Yesterday And Looked Very Impressive. Thin, But Not To Thin. I Should Have Results By The Wekend.

Re: Cleaver To Lightning
Ok We Have Some Results On The New 17/34 3 Blade. ( First The Good ) The Boat Picked Up 4 Mph. Also Picked Up 300 Rpm. I Still Have Some Room In The Rpm Range That Mite Help. ( The Bad ) Lost 6 Mph In The Midrange And The Slip Went Up From 17 To 18 If My On Line Prop Calculator Is Correct. All In All Prop To Prop Brett Gave This Prop On This Boat A 4 Mph Gain. Thats A Thumbs Up In My Book.

Re: Cleaver To Lightning
Awesome, glad to hear we gained the top end. That's what we were looking for. Mid range and top speed don't always go to gether. I wish that wasn't so.
I got your call message. We'll talk next week.
