stern lift

what are my options for stern lift props

last year I was running bravo 4 blades 32 1.51 6000rpm 101mph and there was still more left.
I swapped prop rotation from out to in and I liked the stern lift . that's how the boat ran when I got the boat with 27 hydros q4s I also tried 32 maxims turning out and the same bow lift
Thanks Mike

Re: stern lift

Sounds like you should test a set of hydro P5's. Its a 5 blade version of the Q4's and will give more stern lift than the Maximus props.

Re: stern lift

Also, send a PM to Gordo. He had set of 32 P5's that he was looking to sell or trade. It was a while ago, so I don't know if he still has them.

Smile Re: stern lift

Stern lift is created by blade area and geometry. This means most any propeller can be modified to otain more stern lift than they currently have.

We can change Mercury B1 and Maximus's to add more stern lift. There are however, certain propellers that can have more stern lift or, lack of bow lift, than others. Those are propelles with low rake angles, large diameters and cleaver type trailing edges such as the Hydromotive Q4 or P5.
