You can most definately go non Labbed.
The Maximus propellers respond very well to Labbing and can allow you to step up 2 inches higher in pitch. This will increase the cruising speeds too. The props also have large diameters which can affect boat attitude. Therefore adjusting this may help overall performance.
Defnately try stock props frst. We do ave these fortesting and can ship them to you.

I have a 1999 42 with 600's and XR's..........first tried 4 blad labbed Bravo 33's, worked pretty good, no problem out of the hole and good mid range...........put on the the 5 blade Hydromotive 29's...WOW, big difference, about the same out of the hole but mid-range picked up and topped out at 5300 WOT. Perfect for me......about 3500RPM and 51 mph......over half a tank of fuel and four people on board at 5000rpm.....84.6 on handheld gps.
Hope that helps....................good luck

Since I have 32 pitch now, should I step down to 29 of 30? It sounds like I need to try some Maximus 30p or Hydromotive 29p5. Will probably try the non-labbed route first and see what I get. Has anyone tried both the Maximus and Hydromotive and had a preference for my set-up?

I think the earliest I can get to the lake for any testing will be Friday, June 15th. If you happen to get a set that I can test the next weekend, let me know and I can get them back to you that Saturday or Sunday or send them back on Monday.
