01 29 fever prop ?
OK just got done doing edelbrock ported heads, roller rockers, lightning headers, and programmed PCM. I had a 24 bravo 1 stock that turned 5100 all day. After the upgrades I moved up to a hydromotive 27 and can barely get 5000 @70 mph. Rev limiter is set at 5300 and was wondering what gains I would see from having rpm put into prop or just move down to a 26. Will 300 RPM make a big difference on a modded 502 mag EFI? Just curious what you guys think. Thanx!

How fast were you with the B1 24 @ 5100 rpm?
Going up 3' of pitch is roughly reducing 600 rpm if you are comparing apples to apples.... but you are not, ... the B1 is a bow rasing prop and the QIV is a transom raiser.

what about a 2001 29' fountain that used to be a race boat, carborated 500HP, 1.5 ratio XR, or might be an XZ, gutted cabin.. ive tried 4 props now, none were too impressive

gear ratio is 1.5. Thanx again Julie for your help on the solid hub conversion, you are the bomb! So you think you guys can get 300 rpm out of it and do you think it will help? 70 seems kinda low to me just curious.

my X demension is 19.5, which is high, i run a 26 pitch bravo labbed which ran way better then the 26 pitch hyrdo i tried, im thinking a 28 bravo might be the ticket, the 26 pitch bravo i have might be for sale soon if your interested

It is not wise to try to get that much RPM out of a Hydro...could lead to catastrophic failure. Is your 27P stock or labbed?
