Best Props for 35 Fountain???
Boat is a 1996 35 single step with 502 power. Performance report says they ran a 27. But should I be running a rounded ear or a more clever looking prop. I am running the round ear and with alot of trim I get a little over 5000 rpms.

My 1999 with HP500's came with 28p QIV's,...but the boat also had factory-installed stellings ext. boxes. The "Reggie Propaganda Page" reported 85 mph @ 5350. I got about the same on good days. Carder

Tyler rebuilt both engines this winter, up to 585 hp and similar torque ft/lbs.... but I have had engines and drives grenading every time I get a chance to see what it is capable of running... I am thinking 91 to 93 with the upgrades and Julie dialing in the props... I am going out tonight to trial them.

Bearings grenaded, but not getting up on plane. I was slowly testing at 3500, then 4000, then 4500... I stopped to inspect and the stbd. shut down. When I got it restarted there was a 'wurring" sound coming from the drive when I put it in gear... so I took it back to Tyler. Tomorrow he is reinstalling the drive. The props from Julie rocked up to the 4500 mark...
i am very curious what happens beyond that and will respond ASAP. Carder
