Found this thread.....this is not cut and dry. So here we go....Can you tell me the performance data on the 22P Bravo I props. Tell me what you liked and didn't like about the way the boat behaved and performed.
What is the year of your hull? What gears in the 275's? Julie |
So assuming a little more RPM means 5800ish at 56 mph, with 1.85 (thanks MarylandMark) you have 10% slip. The range on a Vee Bottom with a 4B is 10-14% for a norm. So other than your RPM being a little low your doing pretty well. So labbing the propeller might be the best thing to do in your situation. This will increase the RPM 250 and a few more on top should come with it.

Hi Julie,
thanks for helping me out here. the hull is new 2007 and the verados are 2006, 1.85 gear the boat handles well it planes out in just a few seconds but the top speed is where i was hopeing i'd be in the low 60's. am i asking for to much? |
Getting the rpm may the key to the top end. Those motors really like to turn a lot of rpm. I'd like to see them turning up around 6200. They really seem to run thier best when at the upper rpm range.

The 275 verado turns up to 6400RPM. Best horse power and touque on the motors are at 6250. If you dial a wheel in at 6250 then you are going to be right. The Merc Rev 4 is the ticket on most CC with verados. My 25 Rev 4 was 7mph faster than my 24 B1 on my CC.
