Prop Selection Help
Hi,
I have a 2000 Mariah Z202 20ft bowrider with a 5.0L EFI 240 HP mercruiser with a Alpha 1 1.62 gear ratio. I currently have a Revolution 4 19 Pitch stainless prop. The take off is awesome but the top is not that great. 48 MPH at 5000 RPM. I am looking at a 3 blade 21 pitch prop. I can't decide between the Tempest Plus, Laser II or Mirage Plus. Seems like the Mirage plus is more for Bravo 1 drive???
Any recommandation?

Ultimately testing would be the best way to determine your favorite choice.
I have found, Labbing a M+ on a hull like yours will give the best top end and all around performance including carrying good loads.
Right out of the box a Laser 2 will have the best hole shot and the Tempest will fight it fo rthe best top end speed with normal loads. The Mirage Plus Labbed will win in the end and won't hurt your drive.
We 21 Tempest Plus and Mirage Plus wheels for testing. I'll have to check on the Laser 2.
