Default 30' eliminator eagle 496 HO's

I have a 06 30ft eagle with twin 496 HO's (425hp ea.) and the fastest ive gone with 24p Bravo 1's is 76-78mph and banging the rev limiter easily. What would you guys recommend for this boat to get more top end? It definitly gets out of the hole quick and planes easily but Id like to go a little faster and sacrifice some low end, what kindve props should I get?

thanks
George

LABED 26 PITCH BRAVO 1 AND IF THERE TO BIG YOU CAN HAVE THEN TURNED INTO 25 PITCH DOWN THE ROAD .
TRY THEM STOCK AND SEE WHERE YOUR AT WITH RPM AND THAT WILL TELL YOU IF YOU NEED TO LAB THEM UP OR DOWN IN PITCH .
LET SAY WITH STOCK 26 PITCH YOUR AT 4800 RPM THEN I WOULD JUST PUT A GOOD RACE LAB ON THEM AND YOU WILL GAIN 200 TO 300 RPM AND BE RITE AROUND THE 500RPM MARK . IF YOUR ONLY ABLE TO SPIN THEM 4500 RPM THEN YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THEM CUT DOWN TO 25 PITCH WITH A GOOD LAB .
HOPE THIS HELPS

If you are on the limiter easily with the 24's, 26 Labbed props may not be enough prop.

Test with stock 26's and make the determination post that testing. We have test propelllers if you need them.

okay eliminator swapped out my 24's to stock 26's got the boat doing 80mph with 8 people aboard i was gonna go with just me and 2 other buddies until everyone found out i was going i couldnt say no i guess ill have to sneak the boat out next time im thinking i might be able to hit 90 she was getting close to the rev limiter, motors were running at around 4800-4900 rpms and slowly creeping up but the lake is to small (castaic lake CA)

What ratio are your drives????? GPS speed?????

80 mph at 4900rpms with 26" and 1.5 drive is 0% slip?????

well im not gonna lie i pretty much glanced over at the gps speedo and she was up there at 80 but never went past it the rpms were close to 5k also and yea i kinda glanced at those too im not exactly sure of the exact numbers you guys are getting all technical haha regardless of what was going on it was a bit faster then with the 24's . With 24s she hit the rev limiter at a little past 75 (at a glance). Dont remember the drive ratio... still learning about boats.

thanks

I feel like i could probably still hit the rev limiter if there were only 2 people aboard. We will see.

If the drives are 1.34s and props are 91% efficient top speed would be 78.7 mph.

Use the formula rpm/drive ratio x prop pitch/1056 x % efficient

4900 / 1.5 x 25 / 1056 x 91% = 70.4 mph

4900 /1.34 x 25 / 1056 x 91% = 78. 7 mph
im thinking based on your formula I have the 1.34s I will check when i get home from work.
