props and their attitudes??
Can someone give me a no nonsense break down on what effects different prop types have generally.
3 blade mirage/plus
3 blade cleavers
4 blade Bravo 1
4 blade hydromotive
5 blade herrings
5 blade maximus
6 blade herrings
6 blade barracuda
Did I miss any?
I'm trying to figure out prop selection for my 28 Apache, most people have said 3 blade Mirage plus for this, unfortunately I think I am past the ability to use a 3 blade --- 29 cannot get on plane. I traied B1 30 pitch this w/e -- hitting rev limiter @ 5400 rpm somewhere around 85 ( on speedo, no gps on board) seemed pretty solid -not near the porpoising that I experienced with smaller engines.
I'm going to try some B1 32's and labbed herring 34's this week. Any other suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Some bow lift is required with your hull. However, because of the speeds you are capable of, less will be needed. Also, you need enought pitch to hold the R's down which can be detrimental to finding a good 3 blade.
Go 25 degrees plus rake, 4 blade round ear. The 32 B1 is a good next choice. (try anything you can)
