Angry '22 Wellcraft Scarab Prop Issues

Hey

I am a new owner of a '22 Wellcraft Scarab. It has a 454 with a Bravo outdrive. It has a 26 pitch 3 blade prop on it, and in my opinion is way to high pitched for this boat. It cavitates out of the whole and I really have to work with it to plane it out.... What are your thoughts on a prop for me??

Thanks!

Chris

I would try a 23 mirage plus. Yes a 26 is why to big for stock power.

Thank you!! I was guessing a 22 or 23 myself.... What kind of hole shot can i expect? FYI the 454 has aluminum heads and has roller rockers on it.... Not sure if this makes a HUGE difference or not.... What are your thoughts???

Thanks!

You need to know where you want to turn the engine at WOT. Also the current WOT rpm #.

Then determine your performance goals. We have test propellers for loan if you would like to try some.
