Maximus vs. Bravo prop
I already started this discussion while drifting a bit from this other thread, but Prop Talk is surely a more appropriate place for this subject.
My stock Fountain 27', with a 496 HO and Bravo 26" prop achieves 69 mph at 5100 rpm if very lightly loaded.
Which is ok, but the boat is a real pain to get on plane, particularly when loaded.
According to what I read, the Maximus with its 5 blades and the PVS should give much better results in this respect, but I'd really like to hear the opinion of some prop wizard.
I see that there are some around here...

Your boat would respond very well with the Maximus propeller. It would be best suited if Labbed to meet the boats needs. This would include a diameter reduction. Because your slip number is not real low, the 5 blade may even increase the top end with Labbing.
We have the stock props for testing if your interested, as well as some Turbo and Hydromotive 5 blades.
