Variable Pitch Prop

Anyone have any words on a variable pitch propellor, "VPP"? I have one that came with my Scarab 22 that I'm wanting to set from 14p for hole shot, to 23p for top end....

I know that the individual blades can be expensive, but I guess the name of the game is, "don't hit anything"....

General concensus on past threads has been that they are junk and come apart.
If you want to ski behind it, use a 5 blade. If you want top end, use a 3 blade.

FYI just my 2cts i had a areo 2 speed i think 18 to 23 i had it on a 24 baja bandit with a 502. i loved it you could blow jet skis out of the water and on plan in a flash. u can set it to change speeds at any rpm. i had it for 7 years never had a issue with it. Aero in hayden ID will retro fit it any way u want it. it was a kick in the rass prop and one heck of a hole shot.

I have heard a lot of positive's about this type of prop. I'm going to give it a try. It came with the boat, just not attached. It is need of some repair and wanted to kick the tires with the "board" to see if it would be worth the $200.00 dollars. I believe that you have awnsered my question....
