Removing Busted McGard Prop Locks-
Teeth chipped off your brass McGard prop locknut inside the stainless collar??
(No, not the key, the brass nut)
Same thing happened to me- I called McGard and they Acted All Puzzled... like it never happened before. Sure. They even wanted photos.... sound familiar?
I had registed this purchase with McGard initially, but they offered no advice on how to remove my now permanent prop lock.
So here's my solution- it's so easy I'll never buy another prop lock having the same design.
Think.... "Bimetallic Holesaw" (in proper diameter, of course, just big enough to fit over the propshaft...)
