Lab Finish 24P Bravo Ones?????? Help
Hey guys, just picked up a set of 24p bravo one's for my formula 272 sr1 as I heard these hulls plained better and cruised better with 4 blades. But......losing 2 mph top end.
What will happen if these props are labbed? Will the top end return with the benefits at low and mid range???
Someone told me that labbing them will over rev me????
And where to send them???
Any and all input is appreciated!!!

Bblades is the place to send. I cannot give you any real advise other than to call Brett. He is very helpful and a wealth of knowledge. Just be aware that this is his busy time of year and making contact with him can prove to be challanging sometimes. Just be persistent and he will be able to steer you in the right direction.

What is your WOT rpm currently? Figure labbing them should get you around 200-250rpms additional so if you are within that of your rev limiter you might very well be bangin the limiter.

We can more than likely get the 2 mph you lost back and maybe eve 1 more.
You should be fine at 5000-5100.
Let us know if we can help.

Well now....I had actually borrowed a set of 24 B1's to test when I first posted this. My own set did arrive, and I watched the UPS lady physically throw the box 7 steps on to my front door landing so there is a little damage to the left hand prop. all on the front of the hub but I want it fixed. Any Idea what this would cost and what the lab finish would cost too???
I know you would be guessing on the repair without seeing it but it is a few dings. Nothing major at all. Just trying to figure what kind of money I need to get together!!!

I have been told that labbing will reduce mid range, so make sure you ask about it.
I run 26" Bravo 1's and could use 200 or so more RPM on top but don't want to lose my cruise so I left well enough alone. When I run for speed I put on 25" Mirage Plus

Labbing is $376 for a Bravo 1.
The repair work may be included in the Lab work. It does depend on seeing it prior to being able to quote the repair.
Our lead times are only 1 1/2 weeks.
The Lab process used on a hull like yours will not decrease cruise speed much if any. We will induce extra bow lift to carry the boat better throughout the rpm range.
