Can you explain what "Labing" is?

Labbing is blueprinting a propeller specific to the boats needs or specific to the desires of the customer. It typically involves gaining rpm and speed from your current propeller but can involve gaining bow lift, stern lift, cruise speed or fuel economy. There are many variations and options to choose from.

Ran the prop slip calculator on Brett's web page. No way am I getting 70-71mph at 4600-4650 rpm with a 25p prop on a 1.5 drive. Add the 200 rpm to 4850 and the numbers make sense at about 8% slip. Thanks for the insight Dave.

Any updates? Curious to see how the Rev did with a deep prop shaft.

Hello,

We have propped out many 22ft. Donzi boats with good results. We use our Quad IV cut down to 143/4" diameter and rec labbed. If you would like to learn more please contact us.

OK Guys,
I ran a 25p Merc Rev 4 and a 25p Turbo 1 back to back this past Thursday. Ran out of sunlight before I could bolt on my Mirage. Here's the results with 3 people and 1/2 tank... Rev 4 - slow plane 28mph @ 2200rpm, 49mph @ 3200rpm, 59mph @ 3700, WOT 70mph @ 4700rpm... Turbo 1 - slow plane 28mph @ 2300rpm, 45mph @ 3200rpm, 55mph @ 3700rpm, WOT 71mph @ 4800rpm... Both props are very good with the mid range and handling going to the Rev 4... need to trim the Rev 4 a lot more to get top speed.

Before you buy a prop I would try a Turbo Lightning. Best 3 blade I tried on my Pantera. Had excellent grip and bow lift. Just my point-o-two.
