Default Hydramotive 29s or BRAVO 30s?

I have a 31 Awesome Thundercat with stock 496 mags running 28 pitch non-labbed props. the boat takes off good and runs 82-83 at 4900 RPM, which is about max for stock 496 mag. There is both Hydramotive 29s labbed and Bravo 30s labbed in the classified on this site and I'm wanting to get opinions on which would be better to buy. I'm wanting to gain a few MPH top end.

Thanks and Happy New Year to you all.
Richie.

Most likely would lose rpm with both ,slower to plane, speed may drop.May want to lab the 28s or drop a pitch.

Yes, I would loose RPM with both, but since they are labbed and my 28s arent, I would hope to get some of the RPM's back with a little better top end.
Thanks for your feedback.

You may want to post in the Awesome and A-O section they could give you more info on props and set up.

I ran 28 hydros on my cig and purchased labbed 31 bravos. I dropped some rpm's but my top end was the same. For me the bravos got on plane better and I gained a couple mph at cruise. Completely different boat, but figured my .02 may help.

Good luck

Chism,

Labbing your 28 Bravo 1's is the right move. Of course with the correct recipe.
We have a winter special right now that would cost you $640 for the set to be completed.

The other 2 sets would gain a touch of cruise speed if that is your goal. I'd definately do the 28's.

Brett,

Thanks for the reply. I went with the Bravo 30's, but will still keep my 28s. Depending on how the 30s perform, I very well might be sending my 28's to you to lab.
Thanks again for your help.

Do you know where the 30's were Labbed? I'm curious to hear how they run.

Mark at LI Propeller. He also dynoed them & has the sheet.. I'm not familiar with them, but as soon as it gets warm enough to try them out, I'll update this post with the results. They came in yesterday and look like new so my fingers are crossed. Thanks again to everyone who provided feedback on here.
