Drive Height/Prop Help
I purchased a 2004 American Offshore NSX this year and just had the engine rebuilt. We took the boat out with the new power last weekend and it didn't like the two props we tested. The boat has approximately 800HP/TQ running through a Bravo XR upper/IMCO lower sitting on an IMCO 3 inch raised box. The prop center measures approximately 1.5 inches above the bottom of the boat. We tested a 32 Maximus 15.25 w/ shortened diffuser ring and a Bravo 1 32 (stock). The Maximus struggled to get the boat on plane. The Bravo 1 planed well but had a lot of slip above 80mph and the boat felt really loose. I'd prefer to lower the drive w/ a 1 inch spacer and try to get the Bravo 1 props to work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any insight.

I'd test some box stock Maximus props first.
Then potentially test some spacers.
We can help with the props and we have Bravo spacer kits for testing as well. The bolt pattern is the same but we have to alter something else. I'll check on that if this interests you.
